Winter/Spring 2016 Class Schedule

All classes begin at 10am and are located at the nursery unless indicated otherwise. Space is limited so please be sure to register.

A minimum of 5 attendees is needed for a class, otherwise the class may be canceled.

Saturday morning classes at Shooting Star Nursery in Central Point, Oregon include coffee and treats, plus sandbox to entertain the kids

~During classes there will also be a sandbox, treasure hunt, and some kid-friendly activities (children are still under parents' supervision) as well as hot coffee and refreshments.

*Mother’s Day Floral Workshop

Celebrate Mom by creating a truly special floral arrangement or wreath of local flowers and foliage. Join Juleianna of Petali Floral for a creative evening of homemade bouquets with friends and family. Bring your favorite vase or jar and all other supplies and tools are included as well as wine, chocolates, and treats.

Registration fee-$45, kids free with adult registration.

Class limited to 20 people.

Special Evening hours at the Nursery on Thursdays starting in May. Open til 7:30pm.

*Mother's Day Kids Class

Bring the kids and have them decorate a pot for Mom!  Then they can pick out a plant to make it even more special.  Lemonade, treats, and our entertaining sandbox will add to the festivities.

Registration fee-$10 per kid, includes 4” plant and pot.  Adults are free but must be accompanied by a kid.

Flowers rich in pollen and nectar and their resulting seed heads are important sources of food that must be present year round to sustain a healthy population of pollinators.  Come learn about what specific perennials, grasses, shrubs, and even trees our flying friends adore to keep your garden buzzing with activity throughout the seasons. Plus we will have several forms of Milkweed available to ensure those Monarch butterflies will be visiting your yard.
